The maximum load can be up to 130 tons, and depending on the span of the bridge and the axle loads and distances of the translating vehicles even higher lifting capacities can be realized! Normal construction site and road traffic (40-ton trucks) is possible on every bridge and every free span without problem. In the case of special or heavy-duty transports, the bridge statics are calculated and verified individually.
A closed carriageway is standard for both types of bridges. The center cover between the lanes can be opened for special applications (e.g., earth drilling). Construction-site railings that can be quickly dismantled are available as railing options, as well as Eurocode railings for use as pedestrian and cycle bridges in public areas. The so-called fly-over is always used when heavy loads are to be moved over existing bridges that have too low or unclear load-bearing capacity due to their design or condition. The mobile bridge is placed on the existing roadway and thus enables a safe crossing.
